About the project
About the Project The project will explore the use of novel materials and processes such as phase transitions in post-CMOS devices. Especially, the project will explore how such devices can be made to behave like neurons, and possibly solve problems that are considered too difficult for today's digital computers. We welcome direct PhD applications (with a bachelor's degree). Candidates with strong backgrounds in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: • A strong background in electronic devices, materials science, and a keen interest in device physics • Experience in fabricating devices in a cleanroom, testing them, and/or modeling of devices • Experience with memristors, phase transitions, optically sensitive materials, 2D materials, etc., is a plus
