About the Project This PhD project aims to develop a new nanophotonic platform by exploring new optical resonators and sensing mechanism. The student will focus on the design of nanophotonic sensor and translate it into a drug screening platform or health screening platform. The platform will be heavily equipped with machine learning analysis to assist on the outcome readings. Candidates with strong backgrounds in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: • Background related to physics, optics, or engineering is preferred • Some prior experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning is required
