About the Project This fully funded, 4 years PhD scholarship is ideal for PhD candidates who are passionate about forests. The candidate will examine the social justice issues related to forest conservation projects. The position is based in the HKBU Department of Geography, but I welcome applicants with backgrounds in other related disciplines. I am seeking candidates who aspire to make a strong theoretical contribution to the fields of just transition and political ecology.
About the Project This fully funded, 4 years PhD scholarship aims to empirically examine the social justice issues of China's low-carbon transitions. Candidates are expected to conduct fieldwork in China's energy and/or forestry sectors. Candidates will engage in theoretical development in just transition and Chinese politics.
