About iDTC-MIF

The programme will attract two international cohorts of high-quality doctoral fellows and enable new interdisciplinary and industrial collaborations.

The core mission is to change how new materials are discovered and translated into products by combining many areas of knowledge, including core subjects (Chemistry, Physics), applied science (Materials Science, Chemical Engineering), data science (Computer Science, Statistics and Mathematics), and modelling (Simulation and High-Performance Computing).

Doctoral fellows will perform research in the broad area of Materials Discovery and Engineering to push forward the integration between disciplines, innovate the process of Materials Discovery, and address specific industry challenges.

We will continue to develop this website and provide additional information. The formal call will be announced in December 2026, with the application deadline 10 weeks after the call opening.
