The studentship is open only to applicants who are eligible for UK (home) fee status.
Four projects are advertised below [please see attached further information for more details on projects].
Please note that only one studentship is available . All applicants will be considered together, and the studentship will be awarded to the strongest candidate overall, on the project they have applied for. Applicants should state clearly in their Statement of Interest which project they are applying for (and, if they wish, a second choice).
About ARC EoE
ARC EoE is one of 15 NIHR Applied Research Collaborations in England. It supports applied health and care research that responds to the needs of local populations and services, and helps put research evidence into practice across the East of England. All four projects align with one or more of ARC EoE's research themes ( https://arc-eoe.nihr.ac.uk/research-themes-projects ).
Research environment
The student will be registered for the PhD in Public Health and Primary Care (Projects 2, 3 and 4) or the PhD in Psychiatry (Project 1) at the University of Cambridge, and will join the ARC EoE doctoral community, with access to ARC EoE training, events and networks across the region, alongside training and support from their Department and their supervisors' research groups.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a subject relevant to their chosen project, and a Master's degree in a relevant discipline is desirable. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong research skills appropriate to the project, an interest in applied health and care research that makes a difference to patients and services, and good communication and teamwork skills. Applicants whose first language is not English may need to provide evidence of English language proficiency.
