Project Details

The senses bring information from the external world into the internal body. Senses, however, constitute powerful corporeal ways of knowing and are highly informative about our surroundings include daily life and working. They also are created by our brains to react to information involving feelings such as frisson or discomfort or uncanniness.

This PhD project will examine senses and sensations within information behaviour; how do senses inform us, how do we use sensory information to make decisions, what senses do we experience in relation to information.
