Our Scholarships

There are a number of sources of funding available for Undergraduate, Masters and PhD students for 2026/27 entry. These include a significant package of competitive Queen Mary bursaries and scholarships in a range of subject areas, as well as external sources of funding. • The Gibbs Foundation Scholarship in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences 2026-27- Applications now CLOSED We are delighted to invite applications for the Gibbs Foundation Scholarship, a prestigious award available to eligible Black Caribbean undergraduate students within the School of Law and the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London. Funded through the generous support of The Gibbs Foundation, this scholarship has been established to help remove barriers to higher education, promote social mobility, and support students from Black Caribbean backgrounds who are currently underrepresented in higher education. The Gibbs Foundation Scholarship will provide funding equivalent to the full Home undergraduate tuition fee for up to three years of study. The award is valued at £28,605, paid at £9,535 per academic year . In addition to financial support, the successful scholar will benefit from a range of enrichment opportunities, including insight days, professional networking opportunities, mentoring, and work experience opportunities available through The Gibbs Foundation's professional network. We highly encourage eligible students who have demonstrated ambition, resilience, and a commitment to achieving their academic and professional goals to apply, who may be experiencing financial hardship and/or come from a lower income background.
