Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone starting in or looking to gain skills in project management or a project-related role with no prior knowledge or experience required.

We particularly recommend this course for graduates, professionals, or managers moving into project delivery.

How will my employer benefit?

Employers seeking to strengthen operational delivery should see this course as a fantastic way for employees to gain a recognised understanding of the project management principles and develop their skills sets that can then be applied to the workplace.

You are upskilling your workforce, developing employees to be more well-rounded individuals, focusing on topics such as resource management, risk, communication and stakeholder engagement. Enabling them to contribute more effectively to projects, either big or small, from day one.

Furthermore, employers seeking to upskill larger teams can request bespoke courses at significantly discounted costs.

What will I learn?

You will gain a fundamental awareness of project management terminology and a broad understanding of the principles of the profession, covering:

  • The project lifecycle
  • Project definition and planning
  • Scheduling and resource management
  • Risk and issue management
  • Communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement
  • Roles and responsibilities within a project

Assessment

Upon completion of the course, you will be required to take a 60-minute multiple choice online exam set by APM.

The pass mark is 60% (36 of 60 questions correct) and can be sat in your own time under local or remote invigilation. As part of this package, you will be able to sit this exam, free of charge, as well as one re-sit.
