About the Project Summary: TBI is a complex disease with a number of underlying pathophysiological processes driven by mal-adaptive inflammation. Our group has related several pathological processes to specific inflammatory pathways, with a focus on identifying potential therapeutic targets. Project Aims: By integrating data from protein assays in biological fluids, Neuro-intensive care monitoring and patient outcomes, we will identify the underlying mechanisms that lead to brain swelling, raised intracranial pressure and neuronal injury.
