About the Project This PhD research opportunity examines cross-border management, culture, and institutional complexity. Possible topics include institutional distance, cultural adaptation, international management practices, global teams, expatriate leadership, subsidiary management, cross-border mergers, and the coordination of organizations across different legal, cultural, and regulatory environments. The project is well suited to candidates with international management experience, including executives, consultants, HR leaders, entrepreneurs, NGO leaders, and professionals in multinational organizations. Candidates may examine how organizations navigate differences across markets while maintaining strategic coherence and operational effectiveness. Research may involve qualitative case studies, interviews, comparative international research, surveys, or mixed methods. Studies that connect culture, institutions, and management practice are strongly encouraged. Tuition and scholarships This is a self-funded doctoral research opportunity. The total tuition fee for the Franklin Hudson PhD program is €78,250 . Partial merit-based scholarships may be awarded to strong candidates, up to 30% maximum of tuition. Payment plans are available.
