About the Project This PhD project focuses on global market entry, international expansion, and competitive strategy. Possible research topics include foreign market selection, entry mode choice, localization, strategic partnerships, international franchising, export development, regional expansion, and competitive positioning in new markets. The project is especially relevant for executives, entrepreneurs, consultants, and business development professionals involved in international growth. Candidates may study how firms assess foreign markets, manage uncertainty, adapt to local conditions, and build sustainable competitive advantage across borders. Research may include case studies, comparative analysis, interviews with executives, sector-based research, or mixed methods. Projects involving emerging markets, high-growth sectors, or cross-regional expansion are particularly welcome. Tuition and scholarships This is a self-funded doctoral research opportunity. The total tuition fee for the Franklin Hudson PhD program is €78,250 . Partial merit-based scholarships may be awarded to strong candidates, up to 30% maximum of tuition. Payment plans are available.
