About the Project Large-scale urban development projects often involve competing economic, political, environmental, and social interests. Traditional negotiation models may fail when developers, public authorities, local residents, and community stakeholders define value differently. This DBA research opportunity focuses on the design of negotiation support tools for public-private-community partnerships. The project may draw on win-win-win negotiation logic, social innovation, stakeholder engagement, and cooperative decision-making models. Possible research directions include community engagement, urban development conflict resolution, smart city planning, social cohesion, public-private partnerships, and the design of practical tools that help stakeholders reach more balanced outcomes. This opportunity is particularly relevant for experienced professionals in real estate development, infrastructure, smart city planning, public administration, consulting, social innovation, or community engagement. The expected contribution is a practical artefact that helps organizations and public stakeholders design more inclusive, transparent, and sustainable negotiation processes for complex urban projects. Tuition and scholarships This is a self-funded doctoral research opportunity. The total tuition fee for the Franklin Hudson DBA program is €62,600 . Partial merit-based scholarships may be awarded to strong candidates, up to 30% maximum of tuition. Payment plans are available.
