About the Project Many boards and senior leadership teams are expected to oversee digital transformation, AI adoption, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies without always having the tools to assess strategic value, risk, or implementation readiness. This DBA research opportunity focuses on the design of board-level governance artefacts for emerging technology oversight. Possible research directions include technology risk-value matrices, board digital literacy, strategic technology governance, executive decision routines, AI oversight, transformation accountability, and the alignment of technology investment with business value. This opportunity is particularly relevant for board members, CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, transformation leaders, consultants, governance professionals, and senior executives across sectors. Candidates may design a boardroom technology oversight matrix, digital transformation governance model, or strategic risk-value framework. The expected contribution is a practical artefact that helps senior leaders ask better questions, make stronger technology decisions, and connect innovation with organizational performance. Tuition and scholarships This is a self-funded doctoral research opportunity. The total tuition fee for the Franklin Hudson DBA program is €62,600 . Partial merit-based scholarships may be awarded to strong candidates, up to 30% maximum of tuition. Payment plans are available.
