About the project

About the Project This project focuses on the development of advanced modelling approaches to support the design and optimisation of emerging low-carbon energy systems in industrial applications. The research will involve integrating process simulation, system-level analysis, and data-driven techniques to evaluate performance, efficiency, and operational reliability. The study aims to explore how digital tools can assist in improving system integration, supporting decision-making, and enhancing the scalability of future energy infrastructure. The outcomes are expected to contribute to the development of more sustainable and resilient industrial energy systems. Interested candidates who satisfy the criteria above should provide the following to Prof Chong Meng Nan ( Chong.Meng.Nan@monash.edu ) in their application: ● A cover letter that outlines your skills and experience ● CV which includes your education background and your publication record (if any) ● Evidence of English proficiency test (if any) (eg: IELTS, TOEFL) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to Apply It is suggested that you first contact the main supervisor and provide them with your academic background and achievements to determine whether you are a 'fit' for this research topic. If you feel you are a good fit, submit your application here and ensure that you enter the same research topic as advertised on this webpage. To review the application requirements, please refer to our application submission guide . More information about the scholarships and the course application process is available here .
