About the project
About the Project Photodetectors and photovoltaic cells are ubiquitous devices used for optical power measurements and energy harvesting. We are developing a new class of optoelectronic sensors for optical spectroscopy and material sensing based on these devices. This work combines elctrooptics, electronics, semiconductor physics, machine learning, RF signal processing and 3D physics simulations in order to develop a breakthrough technology that overcomes the cost/size/complexity/resolution tradeoffs - all that is required is the photodiode or PV cell.
